newsweek/daily beast: naomi wolf’s vajayjay

the feminist naomi wolf just came out with a new book titled vagina: a new biography. while newsweek wanted an illustration, they also wanted to make sure that it wasn’t offensive or lewd and so requested personifications of the letter V using their typeface. a fun project with a quick turnaround, and of course a few gems sprinkled into the conversations regarding this illustration:

“And/or, maybe the letters themselves are a reddish–dare I say pinkish hue—to reference, well, you know…?”

always a pleasure working with the fine folk of newsweek.
