rejected sketch that got finished all the same.

update: i got yelled at cause this wasn’t animated. fine.

diy biohacking your body isn’t about creating super powers, rather gaining simpler, everyday sixth sense abilities. example, the ability to hear color. in conclusion, i drew freddy mercury with a pizza going into his ear. to which i say, mission accomplished. (not actually freddy, i blame mr. andrew morgan for this)
art direction: andrew morgan
choose your own sixth sense, will oremus.

some unimpressive figure drawings.

last week i had the pleasure of being interviewed by grace bonney, the one, the only, the design*sponge herself. her radio show, after the jump, appears on the heritage radio network and records out of roberta’s in bushwick. all good things.
we chatted about illustration, philadelphia, hockey, cats, and life. so, if you care to here me blabber on, have at it.

another figure drawing session at the studio of gb tran. last night’s model was a an older gentleman, and i can only hope to be as spry and energetic when i reach his age (and pantsless).

back to figure drawing. not the greatest session, but posting anyway.

first piece worked on after two weeks of traveling about india (photos to come, yes, really!), so drawing airplane seats after a 14 hour flight was fresh on my butt mind.

the recline and fall of western civilization, by dan kois

more figure drawing, with lots of foreshortening. and yes, i got nipple happy in that second drawing, back off.
