google voice now can port your phone number so all your calls centralized without having to get a new number! well, you sort of need a new number, but people calling you can use your regular number. this illustrator only has one number, so i find this whole thing is a moot.

a recent piece for cincinnati magazine’s top doctors issue about implanting a ventricular assist device (basically, a machine that helps the heart pump). this is a timely illustration, as former vice president dick cheney just made his first notable public appearance after receiving this treatment. posting this reminds me of my original dream to become the world’s foremost medical illustrator. mom always wanted me to draw a doctor. ad: grace saunders
