marlow used to have my favorite breakfast, a spectacular biscuit served up with butter and jam…big, flaky, crumbly, moist, delicious. however, the pastry chef who made those biscuits left, and this biscuit was not THAT biscuit.

peter pan bakery
greenpoint’s own peter pan bakery where i have just been introduced to their red velvet donut, their red velvet donut WITH COCONUT!? and their whole wheat donut which sounds like some kind of delusional health-nut abomination, but in fact is possibly their most delicious invention of all (and not healthy at all)!

happy winter
we’re a couple of days early, but in honor of the great snowpocalypse/snowmageddon which dumped feet(!?) of snow on the east coast this weekend, winter seemingly has already arrived.
