just some doodling.

it was a good day at figure drawing for full page compositions. i have a slight worry that i am becoming obsessed with feet, but for the moment, i figure that it is just a new drawing crutch, and we all know that drawing crutches are never bad…until they are. (for more info about crutch drawing, see: gears, tape, bears, woodgrain.)

hello loyal readers (uh, mom?). i am in the midst of a move, so if you are trying to get in contact with me via phone or email, it might be a little difficult over the next couple of days. so, if you’re needing to speak with me, i suggest calling my cell phone.
update: move has happened. phone and email are back running normally again. same number, same email.
play kid cupid in valentino’s revenge.
to celebrate this hallmark holiday, the pens of eben and the genius of domani studios, have teamed up to unleash kid cupid, where you can vanquish evil cupid imposters by hitting them in the jaw with candy hearts. blam!
happy valentine’s day everyone, xxxooo (if you haven’t gotten your official eben roses, just sit by the door and wait. i promise, they are coming soon).
i signed up to help install the gates project this weekend in central park. i’m having a wonderful time, and everyone seems to be enjoying it (if not for being a little sore from the lifting and a lot tired from the having to be at the park at 7am). i even was quoted by the ap (down at the bottom). all in all, for someone who spends as much time as i do it front of the computer, this sure is a lot of physical labor. outdoors? picking up heavy things?
here are a few sites where you can view the progress of the project: wolfgang volz (official project photographer) and nycgates, or just walk on over to central park and see it with your own eyes (if you happen to be in nyc).

the lovely people that i worked with all week to put up the gates.

>this is my third illustration for illustration friday, so let me start out by saying, happy new year! this week’s theme is ‘year of the rooster.’ my concept is pretty straight forward, chinese new year always has dragons in parades, so why not change the animal to a rooster? (see image) okay, it’s not that great a concept, and it’s only a mediocre drawing, but i am very sleep deprived from helping install the gates project. ey-es—-clo—-sing.

some various sketches from the f train, including ass early drawings on my way central park while working on the gates project.

this is my second illustration for illustration friday. this week’s theme is friendship, and after thinking about friendship, longevity seems to be a very important part. i am always impressed and pleased when i haven’t seen or spoken to a friend is a long time, and upon meeting up with them again, it’s as if the friendship hasn’t changed. sure jobs, apts, relationships have all come and gone, but the friendship remains the same. then every once in a while, something occurs to change that friendship…
